Hello Friends!

My name is “Mad Mack” Munro and I’m the Pitmaster and co-owner of Bravo Zulu BBQ. This site is dedicated to those of you who love to eat and smoke…BBQ that is! I started out like many of you. I fell in love with smoked meat many years ago when my great uncle Art Lopez cooked meat underground. I still remember the wonderful smell wafting up as we dug the dirt away from the pit, pulled back the metal cover over the hole, and pulled up a beautiful piece of beef.

When we moved to Tennessee in 2014, I started getting serious about it. I live on a property with 26 acres of Oak and Hickory trees and lots of time to learn to smoke meat. I’ve cooked more bad BBQ than good, so I’ll share recipes and techniques that work so you won’t have to torture your friends and family with terrible cooking. I already did that for you!

This site contains my favorite recipes and techniques. Unlike most pitmasters, I’ll share EVERYTHING with you. No hidden techniques or ingredients. I want you to experience the joy of cooking, and the joy of watching your friends and family singing your praises over what you cooked for them!
